Climate in Croatia
Doubting when visiting Croatia will the weather be for short sleeves only, or will you have to bring quite a thick coat and adequate shoes with you, the answer will depend on the season of your visit to Croatia.
It is situated in the northern temperate climate zone which gives it a favorable climate conditions in with expressed differences during the seasons.
In summer, Croatia would be suitable for relaxing by the sea or a lake, when the sun is hot. In winter, it provides an opportunity to enjoy the snowy landscapes, skiing, ice-skating and romantic excursions in the mountain lodges. Spring and fall are ideal for outdoor activities and active, sporting holiday.
The average temperature in the inland: January from 0 to 2 °C (32-35.5°F); August from 19 to 23°C (66-73°F), the average temperature in the coastline part: January from 6 to 11°C (43-52°F); August from 21 to 27°C (70-81°F).. With an average of 2,600 hours of sunshine a year, the Adriatic coast is one of the sunniest in the Mediterranean, and the average sea temperature during summer is 25°C to 27°C (77-81°F).
