The parish church of St. George from the 12th century (Romanesque period) with Glagolithic graffiti on the frescoes, the Church of St. John the Baptist (14th century) built on the foundations of an older church, the Holy Trinity Church above the marina, the massive city tower (remains of medieval forts), cortile gardens-enclosed yards, portals of city palaces, villas built in the second half of the 19th century in the vicinity of the old city.
Enologically, Lovran has originally followed the wine chart of Istria, and today it offers the best wines of Croatia. Famous are fish dishes and the first class shrimps from the Kvarner region, as well as dishes made of asparagus and an entire series of sweets made from chestnuts and cherries that are prepared seasonally.
