Safe haven with a fishing village at the end. Such was Malinska before tourism arrived and turned it into a popular tourist destination with plenty of entertainment options, top restaurants and all the elements necessary for a relaxing holidays.

The surrounding area has many interesting monuments, remains of Roman villas, early Christian religious buildings and ancient Croatian churches (Sveti Krševan in the Čavlena bay), a Frankopani church of St. Mary Magdalene in Porto, the parish church of St. Apolonaro in Bogovići. The gastronomic offer of fish is at its best here. There is plenty of fresh seafood as well: shellfish, crabs and fish garnished with the island’s fresh produce are a temptation for every gourmet's palate. The scents of laurel and rosemary, the unforgettable taste of home-pressed olive oil, and the famous wine known as žlahtina all add to the culinary experience.
