Stadium Kantrida voted as one of the most unusual stadium in the world

TV station CNN on its Web portal recently placed Kantrida stadium in Rijeka among the eight most unusual stadiums in the world. This small stadium in the Kvarner region, which can only welcome 10 000 visitors, CNN reporter described as "small but perfectly shaped stadium which is characterized by steep cliffs and crystal blue sea”.

Putting it on the high third place, behind the stadium in the Portuguese islands of Madeira and one in Braga, the reporter was fascinated by the Croatian stadium and the stunning view that spreads to the Adriatic Sea and islands.

The next year the stadium Kantrida celebrates the centennial of the establishment. Back then, in 1912, the susak’s students decorated the old quarry not even thinking that on it, the three national championships (Italian Seria A, the Yugoslav First League and the First Croatian football league) will take place.
