In this small fishing town, which many consider one of the most romantic destinations on the Adriatic Sea, you can enjoy in the authentic gastronomic delicacies, sports activities, swimming and sunbathing, walking under the city walls, visit historical sites, churches and museums, or simply observe fishermen - arriving in the small fishing port, or weave their networks.

Small town, "hidden" deep in the Novigrad Sea which is one of the most closed bays of the Adriatic, surrounded by walls that have their roots back to the Liburnian (pre-Roman) times. The walls are like a fan descending from the top of the hill where an old fort is situated.Detainees Croatian-Hungarian Queen Elisabeth Kotromanić - widow of Louis I, and her daughter Mary lived in the fort (1386 - 1387).

Between the walls of Novigrad is a beautiful medieval architecture of the city with its magnificent traditional architecture, churches, narrow streets, and stairs you climb the path to the fortress. Novigrad has a picturesque history that is transferred to the present days, with a developed sense of tourism that "lives" successfully since the late 19th century, when in 1896 arranged walking path and the municipal park have been made.

In Novigrad one can still find excellent home-made wines (red and white wine - žutica), ecologically produced olive oil and taste fish, shrimps and shells, especially mussels.
